Crowns and Bridges

Fill in the gaps with Andrew Murray Dental Care’s crowns and bridges

Crowns and bridges are used as a means to protect teeth from further damage. Crowns and bridges look completely natural in the mouth as they are specifically colour-matched to your teeth for a strong and durable solution to cracked or damaged teeth. Here at Andrew Murray Dental Care we recommend CEREC porcelain restorations for crowns and bridges. These are the most biocompatible, long term cosmetic options currently available, & are designed, milled & then bonded all in one visit!

If your dentist recommends that you have a crown installed it is most likely that your tooth has been compromised by a serious cavity caused by plaque infection. In the event of this occurrence your dentist will file down your natural tooth to make room for the crown. Your porcelain crown will then be fitted and secured on top, restoring your smile and protecting the tooth’s structural integrity.

Your dentist may recommend bridges if you have lost more than one tooth. Installing a bridge of ensures that your natural teeth don’t move and disperse which can result in unwanted gaps, misshapen or crooked teeth.
